Louisa Newborn Photographer

I have been very neglectful of my blog, so while we are still trying to stay home and be socially distant, I thought I would start updating sessions from the past few months!

First up is my most recent newborn session from the studio. I thought this would also be a good time to remind clients of what to expect from a current newborn session, as it differs from what I have done in the past.

My newborn sessions used to include a lot of the naked newborn portraits, and while those can be amazing and beautiful, the amount of time in the session could be up to 3 hours!

Nowadays, my newborns are mostly wrapped, but depending on their sleepiness, I tend to get some hands and feet exposed. Sometimes I feel that these shots may stand the test of time with newborn photography, and now my shooting time is rarely more than an hour and a half.

I have also found that since I am not spending so much time posing on a bean bag, I can do more prop photos, which is what I really love. It allows me to really tap into my inner artist, while creating portraits that will fill the walls of my clients homes!

Enjoy this peek into beautiful Ava’s newborn session. Parents of newborns, don’t miss out on capturing this sweet time, as it will soon be a distant memory.
